Alejoís Boathouse CafÈ is an intimate spot with beautiful views of the park and lagoon in Humboldt Park. It opened in July of 2015 and is open year-round serving delicious cafÈ style foods, pastries, and drinks. Named after Latin American explorer Alexander Von Humboldt, the cafÈ honors his rich history and travels with dÈcor and pictures of the impact he had while living in the Americas. The menu at the cafÈ includes fresh seasonal ingredients and will feature foods and beverages from the countries that Humboldt explored in the Americas. They sell homemade pastries and desserts, coffees, teas, and fresh juices, along with soups, salads, and small plates. Alejoís Boathouse also just recently started offering a small breakfast menu and they just received their liquor license in order to serve alcoholic beverages. The cafe was built out to give customers more space and outdoor patio room to enjoy their food and drinks in nice weather. The views you get from the patio are spectacular and make you feel like youíre in the countryside instead of a park in the middle of the city. The next time youíre in need of a break from the hustle and bustle of the city look no further than Alejoís boathouse. With their delicious treats that are locally sourced and amazing views not found anywhere else in Chicago, Alejoís Boathouse is a gem in the city.
