Angeloís is a third generation family owned and operated restaurant. In 1924, Angelo Mastrodicasa from Pescara, Italy, opened Angelo’s Civita Farnese Restaurant, on Atwells Avenue. And 92 years later the the tradition continue. One of the original menu items is, Meatballs & French Fries, four homemade meatballs and a little bit of french fries. During the Great Depression Angelo wanted to help out fellow Federal Hill residents by providing a little extra starch on the dinner plate. Other favorites include, the award winning Veal & Peppers, stewed veal with sweet peppers in its own delicate sauce.
