In 1992, Violetís father Martino took over and American grill he was working at and turned it into Arte Restaurant, an Italian eatery. Violet has been in the business since 2010, learning all the ins and outs from her father. Arte Restaurant is known for the Ravioli Aurora; ravioli stuffed with lobster served in a tomato and brandy sauce. ìWe always recommend that dish and customers always order it again,î explained Violet. The Scaloppine Arte is another popular item; veal scaloppine with artichokes, grated parmesan cheese, in a white wine sauce with a touch of cream. It has been a customer favorite for over 20 years. If you enjoy seafood, try the Dover Sole that is often on special. Arte Restaurant specializes in all the classic cocktails, like a Tom Collins, a Sidecar, and a Singapore Slinger. Arte Restaurant is known for their martinis, including their Espresso Martini and their delicious French Martini. Violet explained that they make the French Martini so often they are always purchasing new ingredients! The customer service at Arte Restaurant is top notch. Violet and her father are both the face of the business, and one of them are always at the restaurant, if not both. ìCustomers know us on a personal level,î Violet explained. There are customers that have been coming since they were born! Arte Restaurant has two beautiful working fireplaces, an outdoor dining area with a garden in the back. They host a lot of private events, have an enclosed patio that they can open up when the weather permits, and an alluring old-school bar. Arte Restaurant is not a place to miss!
