Brothers Carlo and Gennaro Slaughter own Bistro 22 in Cranston, Rhode Island. Once they got the space in their ideal location, they completely renovated it and created a restaurant that was totally their own. Gennaro was the contractor, and built it with the help of his brother and designer Libby Slader. Libby also designed the decor of the restaurant which won them the award for Best Restaurant Design. Carlo is an experience restaurateur. He has worked in the industry since childhood and has trained at Johnson and Wales. He also has a degree in business. Carlo and Gennaro started Bistro 22, because they have always wanted to own a business together. Their restaurant is known for its ìrustic comfort, family charm, and seasonal fresh ingredients.îBistro 22 serves what they call ìinspired cuisine.î Their menu has recipes inspired from different cultures and styles. They offer both old family recipes and contemporary dishes. Everything is made in house and from scratch, including sauces and dressings. Chef Jasmine and her team prepare everything fresh daily. One of the most popular items on the menu is the 22 Burger: an 8 ounce patty with smoked cheddar, fresh arugula, truffle mayo, and bacon, served with house cut fries. They have an eclectic menu with something for everyone, including some vegetarian options. Bistro 22 also has a full bar with amazing specialty cocktails. They mix their own syrups and reductions. Some of the cocktails are named after employees who help created them. Bistro 22 has been featured on Joe Zitoís Quick Bites and Road Trip with G. Garvin on Cooking Channel. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. They are open daily for lunch and dinner. Check out Bistro 22 for inspired cuisine made with care!
