Bistro Beaujolais opened 10 years ago in Carmel by the Sea, California. The eclectic French restaurant sits between Ocean Avenue and Mission Street. Because it is located in the Plaza, the restaurant sees a lot of diversity in their clientele. The bistro is the newest restaurant of local restaurateur Firok Shields. The name comes from the comfortable and casual atmosphere of the restaurant as well as the French influence. Bistro refers to a small, casual restaurant, and Beaujolais is a region in France and the name of a wine. The extensive menu contains something for everyone, including pizza, pasta, burgers, and entrees. Two of the customer favorite entrees are the Beef Bourguignonne and the BBQ Pork Ribs. A highlight from their brunch menu is their specialty Crab Cake Eggs Benedict. General Manager Jennifer Mendoza recommends their Fish Tacos. Bistro Beaujolais also has a full bar with a selection of specialty cocktails. Another draw to the bistro is their gorgeous outdoor patio. Surrounded by gardens, this patio has been described as one of the most ìlush and picturisticî patios in all of California. It is also dog friendly, so feel free to bring your furry friend. Bistro Beaujolais is open seven days a week 10 AM-late. Stop in for brunch any time between 10 AM and 4 PM. Check out Bistro Beaujolais for an unforgettable dining experience!
