Cafe Uovo opened in early 2016 in a historical building located at 2163 Market St. in Camp Hill. Cafe Uovo is a family venture. The restaurant is owned by John Bisel and his wife Cheryl. They moved to Pennsylvania several years ago from Arizona to be closer to where Cheryl grew up. John and Cheryl were trying to decide what sort of business to open in the building they purchased upon moving to Camp Hill. While considering opening an eatery in the space, John and Cheryl asked their daughter Jessica Wellington and son-in-law Sam what they thought of the idea. Sam and Jessica were enthusiastically supportive. Sam, who was then a chef at a prestigious Arizona resort, signed on as Uovoís Executive Chef and a true family business was born. Uovo which means egg in Italian is only open for breakfast and lunch. The menu combines influences of southwestern Italian and French cuisine.
