Caffe Martier first began six years ago as a small coffee shop called Coffee & Croissants inside of a boutique named Martier. Through the years the shop continued to grow and build piece by piece until it became a full-blown caffe. In order to honor their start inside of Martier, they gave the restaurant the name Caffe Martier. Eli Kamholz, whose mother, Pnina, manages the Martier boutique owns Caffe Martier. The restaurant offers casual Mediterranean cuisine as well as a full Italian style coffee bar with a juice bar attached. Shakshuka is one of their most popular breakfast dishes consisting of poached eggs in a tomato-based sauce with spicy, crunchy almonds and cheese on top. Another is the Avocado-Mousse Croissant that consists of a cheese and tomato omelet topped with spicy avocado mousse on a croissant. Caffe Martier serves breakfast until 3pm daily. Other popular dishes include the Ninaís Salad, Kale and Carrot Salad, and Kosher Beef Short Ribs served over potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Caffe Martier also offers a large selection small plates designed to share. All meat is kosher, but the chef at Caffe Martier is very skilled with fish as well. Their snapper and salmon are amongst their most popular catches. The Italian style coffee bar not only offers fresh, authentic coffee, but also fresh smoothies and juice. On top of that Caffe Martier also offers a very eclectic wine list with red and white wines from all over. They offer great mixes that you donít come across often which also stands true for their selection of beers. Caffe Martier features different small, locally brewed craft beers rather than ordinary, national brands. Also offered are their special craft cocktails that vary season to season. Caffe Martier also has a special prohibition style room in their restaurant called the Old Arcade. The Old Arcade was actually a real speakeasy during prohibition times and they have kept the original bar and all the original wood the same in the room. They do hold private and corporate events in the Old Arcade, but when there are no events reserved the room is open normally from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. Bottom-line, Caffe Martier is focused on using fresh ingredients to bring out simple and bright flavor profiles in their food, which is the main characteristic of Mediterranean cuisine. A great spot to enjoy a family meal or quick bite to eat, donít miss out on the great atmosphere and even better food at Caffe Martier.
