Campo Enoteca literally translates to community wine bar. And according to General Manager Peter Macone that describes the concept behind the creation of the restaurant. Macone describes melding a farm to table concept using free range local chicken, cage free eggs and local grass fed beef on a menu featuring fresh pasta made daily, artisanal breads baked on premise, antipasti, crostini, an assortment of Italian charcuterie and cheese, creative entrees, Italian wines and full bar.The quintessential example of the eateryís concept is their classic preparation of Chicken Marsala. Featuring local Vernon Farm chicken, portobello, red peppers, tagliatelle and Marsala Sauce created with imported Marsala wine. Another menu favorite is the Classic Roman Carbonara featuring Bucatini, Parmesan, guanciale, local eggs, black pepper, and no cream. The menu also features great items for lunch, try a hand made pizza, a delicious panini or maybe a refreshing salad. Make sure you save room for the very special house made desserts. Among the featured are offerings are a German Chocolate Coconut Cake and a Chocolate Mousse. For something different sample the Rosemary and Olive Oil Cake served over house made yogurt and topped with orange marmalade. Better yet order them all and share with Friends. The restaurant features a full bar and an extensive choice of wines. They are open for lunch and dinner during the week and dinner on Saturday. Starting in September they will be open on Sundays too. Campo Enoteca, Italian with a little bit more a destination for food, wine, companionship, and conversation.
