The Church Street Tavern is a northern themed restaurant centered on Pittsburghís atmosphere and style of food. It has been located on historic Church Street in downtown Orlando for many years, but in August of 2015 was bought by new owners Melina Bays and Keith Hoffman. It is the first restaurant they have ever owned so they decided to keep its name and theme the same. The Church Street Tavern focuses on providing its customers with fresh, never-frozen food that tastes great, they donít even have any freezers in the kitchen. The food is prepared and homemade daily and their dressings are made from scratch. The Church Street Tavernís specialty is their homemade, gourmet pierogies. They even have a chef whose sole job is to make the pierogies. They come in three different, delicious styles Buffalo Chicken, Cheesesteak, and Loaded Potato. Aside from their pierogies, the Church Street Tavern also offers a wide array of other tasty northern-style food. Their Reuben and Meatloaf sandwiches are other customer favorites. The Meatloaf sandwich begins with bacon-wrapped meatloaf and is topped with cheese, garlic herb aioli, lettuce, and tomatoes. The Church Street Tavern also has Happy Hour from 3pm to 7pm Monday through Friday. During this time you can get $1 off draft beers as well as $4 well-liquor drinks. A special they offer all the time is their $5 Jack Daniels, Jack Fire, and Jack Honey drinks. They also have a small wine selection, craft beers in bottles and cans, and classic cocktails to pick from. Since the Tavern is centered on Pittsburgh, you can visit the restaurant to catch any Pittsburgh sports game. They show Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins games for all of Orlandoís Pittsburgh fans. The Church Street Tavern also offers weekly entertainment and customers can request to host private events or parties at the restaurant as well. For delicious, fresh food set in a beautiful tavern, be sure to stop by the Church Street Tavern soon!
