Compass Bar opened in February of 2014 and is owned by Patrick Wrona and Ryan See. They each have diverse and exceptional experience in the food industry so they decided to join together to open their own restaurant. They wanted to design a restaurant/bar that they would enjoy hanging out in and so Compass Bar was created. Compass Bar has one of the biggest beer selections in the city of Chicago. They feature twenty taps that rotate constantly. Customers can come back and expect to find different beers to try every time. Compass also offers 180 different bottled beers from around the world that allows customers to experience beers they would normally never have the opportunity to try. Compass Bar also has a large wood fire brick oven that is used to make their specialty pizzas. They receive a wood delivery every week to ensure the pizzas have a fresh, smoky flavor. Compassí calamari appetizer is also very popular amongst customers. Their chicken wings are also a fan favorite, especially in the buffalo and Thai chili sauces. Guests have the option of holding private parties or events at the restaurant as well. They have eight TVs around the bar that are great for catching a sports game and also feature an outdoor patio that holds up to forty people. During the summer months Compass even puts a TV on the patio so guests can enjoy the warm weather while watching a good game. Compass Bar is located a short walk away from the lake and allows customers to bring their dogs out on the patio. Above all else, good service is whatís most important at Compass Bar. The staff is focused on making every customer feel comfortable and welcome. If a customer leaves without a smile on their face then Compass hasnít done their job. They have great food and drinks, but giving a customer the best service is their goal. So the next time youíre in Chicago looking for a place with delicious food and a great selection of beers, look no further than Compass Bar!
