Just over two years ago, Coshohocken Brewing Company began with the goal of providing exceptionally well made and high quality craft beers. They brew traditional beers in small batches, to guarantee their customers get the best. The founders originally worked in pharmaceuticals, but had a passion for brewing. With the help of head brewer, Andrew Horne, they were able to develop their own successful company. Beers are sold on site, and also distributed to local bars and stores. The brewery doubles as a restaurant, which now has two locations: Conshohocken and Bridgeport. The Bridgeport location opened in summer 2016. The space was a storage area that was transformed completely into the brewery and restaurant. Kevin Lowe is the head of onsite business operations for both of the locations. He started as a server and worked his way up to the management and business side of the industry. The Bridgeport location of the brewing company is in charge of the experimental side of brewing. They brew new and creative beers and test them for popularity and taste among the customers. It is a great location to go to if you want to be the first to try the newest concoction of the company. The beer options range to everything from IPAs to Belgian beers to German fest beers. IPAs are the best sellers among customers. They also try seasonal options like pumpkin ales and flavored beers. Although the beers on tap are constantly rotating, they have a number of core favorites that you can always find, like the Conshohocken IPA and the Type A. The restaurant side of Conshohocken Brewing Company contains American bar classics. Their food is all made in house and from scratch. The goal is for the menu to be approachable, familiar, and pair well with the beer. The burgers are among best sellers, especially the Bridgeport and the Prof. The Bridgeport is a char-grilled burger, pork belly, smoked cheddar, and their ESB beer BBQ sauce, on a brioche bun, The Prof is a Darling Downs Wagyu beef burger, with smoked gouda, pork belly, roasted tomato chipotle aioli, and cajun frizzled onions. After your meal, their Burn Everything Chocolate Cake is an absolute must try. It is homemade chocolate cake made with their Burn Everything rye porter and topped with peanut butter icing. Conshohocken Brewing Company is open seven days a week, and stays open late on weekends. Kevin hopes that customers will leave feeling like they had excellent service and were helped to find their perfect beer. Check it out for yourself for amazing beer and great food to go with it!
