Sandra Bentivegna opened Corner Stable in 1986. She has worked in the restaurant business since 1963, starting at age 13 working in her fatherís restaurant. She opened up her own place as a way to support her children. She struggled being a female business owner 30 years ago, but she worked hard and earned her success. Her favorite part about working in the industry is getting to know her customers. She has regulars who sheís watched grow up, now coming in with their grandkids. She talks to the customers about their families, vacations, politics, and everything in between, creating a welcoming and friendly environment.Corner Stable specializes in Baby Back Ribs. They have three different sized racks and four homemade barbeque sauce recipes. Their lump crabcakes are the other big sellers. Sandraís favorite dish is Stableís Diamond, a charbroiled New York Strip Steak marinated in their dark salsas, making it juicy and flavorful. She also recommends the burgers and sandwiches. Her favorite is the Cheeseburger Panini, which is beef, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo, all perfectly pressed. For lunch they have delicious homemade soup specials.
