Crab & Cray Cajun Seafood & Bar is a nice, upscale nautical themed restaurant in San Jose, California. It is fairly new, having opened on July 7th, 2015, but promises a seafood experience different from what else is offered out there. The owner has a background in restaurants and this industry has always been in his blood. The shining point of Crab & Cray Cajun Seafood & Bar is their food, and their sauces far outplay the other seafood joints. Customers rave about them; the most popular being ëThe Whole Nine Yardsí. Their signature menu category is the ëBackyard Boilsí section. You pick your flavor sauce – ëThe Whole Nine Yardsí, ëPineapple Expressí, ëBayouliciousí, Garlic Loverí, or ëGarlic Butterí – then pick your spice level and what type of seafood you want. If you cannot just choose one, order the ëBuild Your Own Comboí, where you get to pick one premium seafood item (scallops, crab, lobster, crab legs) and two mid-tier options (shrimp, squid, mussels, clams or crayfish) along with three sides. This typically feeds two to four people, depending on their appetite level. If you happen to not like seafood and end up at Crab & Cray, the ëAngus Boneless Ribeyeí is a great choice. Crab & Cray Cajun Seafood & Bar offers a full bar, with popular drinks including the ëMango Mojitoí and ëMoscow Muleí. They also have a variety of craft beers – about twenty on tap on any given day. Very soon, Crab & Cray will start offering Happy Hour specials, so be sure to check their Facebook for updates!
