Elizabeth Saffioti opened El Paraiso with her parents Jose and Carmen Cruz in 1995. El Paraiso is their fourth restaurant together. Hailing from El Salvador, they serve Salvadoran Latin cuisine. Everything they make at El Paraiso is homemade using real ingredients. All the items at El Paraiso are made with Jose and Carmenís recipes, and many items are named after family members. They both grew up in El Salvador eating healthy foods and wanted to offer that in their restaurant. With every dish they create, they have that concept in mind. Their customers go crazy for their salsas that are freshly made every single day. People even buy it in large containers to enjoy at home! ìThe salsa has carrots and celery in it – itís natural, people know that and cannot get enough of it. Some customers will drink it with a spoon!î Elizabeth exclaimed. Ever since Jose created the salsa, everyone has been falling in love with it. Elizabeth runs the front of the house but has the magic touch when it comes to sangria. Customers rave about her special sangria made with strawberries and apples. Elizabeth is really proud of El Paraisoís soup; the Chicken Soup is made with fresh, never frozen, zucchini, carrots, and spinach. People absolutely love it. Looking for something new to try? Check out El Tipico! A plate filled with a plethora of El Salvador treats; homemade pupusa, chicken tamale, sweet plantains, yucca, chicken pastelito, refried beans and sour cream. Love quesadillas? El Paraiso even grows some fresh herbs in their garden on the property, including rosemary, sage, and oregano! Have El Paraiso cater your next event!
