Christian Cabanettes was born and raised in Paris, France. When he was just 16 years old, he apprenticed with a chef and got his start in the restaurant and pastry industry. Christian eventually moved to Montreal where he set up his own pastry shop that he owned for about 20 years. In 2000, Christian, his wife Elizabeth Amara, and their daughter Cylia moved to Florida for the weather and a new adventure. Christian and Elizabeth established two EuroBread & Cafe locations; the first in Fort Lauderdale and the second in Davie a few months later. Christian cooks and bakes in the back while Elizabeth works on all the storefront, marketing, and bookkeeping tasks. Cylia currently is a manager at EuroBread & Cafe, and her little brother Lucas has been apprenticing under his father Christian for the past two years, learning all the ins and outs of the kitchen. Cylia and Lucas one day hope to take over and keep their parents legacy alive. EuroBread & Cafe specializes in pastries. From mouthwatering butter croissants to delicious brioche, everything is made completely fresh. The quiches are to die for and you will crave the homemade soups. EuroBread & Cafe offers a little bit of everything you can find in Europe and is a great place to relax and enjoy a pick-me-up. EuroBread & Cafe also caters!
