Kyle Bagley and Sam Stone have known each other many years. Kyle previously owned a restaurant on Clark Street and Sam is a beer and liquor representative, so they have both worked together in the industry. Since Kyle and Sam always got along, they decided to partner in a restaurant. Kyle has a son name Grayson, and Samís last name is Stone, so they combined the two for the restaurant name, Graystone Tavern. Greystone is not a Mexican restaurant – they specialize in Americanized tacos. Chef Chi explained that Sam and Kyle came up with the concept, and he put together the menu. Chi took traditional dishes and sauces and made them his own. ìWe make everyone feel like this is their place,î Chi explained.Customers rave about the Korean BBQ, a hand cut chicken tenderloin covered in BBQ sauce and topped with homemade apple cider and brown sugar coleslaw. The Graystone California Taco is another popular item; shredded grilled chicken, bacon bits, and fresh avocado topped with basil mayo slaw. The Southern Fried Chicken Taco and the homemade Mac & Cheese are other great options. Graystone Tavern is close to the ballpark, so it is a great place to go before or after the game. They open the windows and doors, weather permitting, and sometimes even have a DJ playing depending on what team is in town. The restaurant can accommodate about 75 guests and the back beer garden can seat 45. Be sure to check out the new kids on the block and head to Graystone Tavern, where they try to make sure everyone who visits feels like Graystone Tavern is their bar.
