Angie Storm opened Hotch 10 years ago. It was originally named Hotch-A-Do, but was remodeled four years ago to appeal to the areaís nightlife scene. It is now called The Hotch Spot, or just Hotch. Angie got her start working in engineering, but had a desire to start a business. Her first restaurant experience was with Erbert and Gerbertís, but she came up with the concept for Hotch and she decided to start a restaurant of her own. Hotchís menu is inspired by secret family recipes. All of the food is made from scratch using fresh ingredients. The cheese potatoes, a popular item, are a recipe of Angieís mother. Their weekend brunch includes free scones and cartoons on the TV for the kids. For the night owls, they have house cocktails and a variety of beer and liquor and are open late.A stand out feature of Hotch is the atmosphere which Angie describes as feeling like they are ìinviting you into our home.î It is a family friendly restaurant, so there is plenty of food that kids will enjoy. The decor is unique, with a lot of the restaurant built from reclaimed wood from brew houses around Milwaukee. Hotch offers catering for any event and has catering packages available which can be customized. They are open Tuesday-Sunday. Besides dining, Hotch is also a great place to go hang out, watch a game, or go to play games, which are available to the customers. Whether you are looking for great food or a great atmosphere to hang out, Hotch is definitely worth checking out.
