Breakfast, brunch and lunch are served with a modern take to satisfy both sweet and savory cravings. The Hudson CafÈ is owned by executive chef Tom Teknos and Stavros Adamopoulos. The Hudson CafÈ has been in business for about four years. Teknos opened the restaurant after a previous breakfast place before went out of business. He said that when businessman and NBA Owner Dan Gilbert moved down to the area with his other businesses, so it was a huge asset to the business.The restaurantís signature dishes are primarily breakfast orientated such as red velvet pancakes, Monte Cristo French toast, fried chicken and waffle, crepes, eggs benedict and specialty omelets. There are even vegan and gluten-free options offered on the menu. Their sauces are all house made including the raspberry and ranchero sauces, corn bread cakes and smoked Applewood bacon. The restaurant also provides a bar that serves specialty coffee and fresh baked goods that can be taken to-go. There is a lounge area with a fireplace and plasma television for customers to relax and enjoy. With the store hours, the Hudson CafÈ attracts a wide variety of people including families, interstate workers, students, tourists and even athletes from sports teams like the Detroit Lions. ìWe want to people to understand our concept here and appreciate the homemade food. We have to focus on getting breakfast customers." Teknos said that the restaurant is very safe with security and cameras, and he wants people to lose the mindset that Detroit isnít safe. His main goal for the restaurant is for it to continue to grow in service and that more retail and businesses are incorporated in the area.
