Stephanie Gray, one of the owners of Jimmy the Greek Taverna, sat down with us to explain the history behind the restaurant. Her late father was in the restaurant business his entire life; ever since he left the Greek Navy and made his way to America. He started as a dishwasher and a prep cook and worked his way up the ranks. At one point he owned six restaurants in New York! In 2008, he established Jimmy the Greek Taverna in Boca Raton. Customers travel great distances for their Bronzini, and Stephanie claims that ìThe Bronzini literally tastes like if you were eating it on one of the islands in Greece.î The fish is grilled and baked with olive oil, lemon, and oregano, that gives it a flavor that is not overpowering but rather perfectly compliments the fish. The Lamb Chop, gyros and burgers are also popular! At Jimmy the Greek Taverna you are sure to find good, clean, home cooked Greek fare. They also serve Greek beer and wine, as well as domestic options!
