Johnnyís Harborside in Santa Cruz, California has been a cornerstone for fresh, flavorful seafood since 2005. Johnny Mesa and Jeff and Sheri Moise are the original founders of the restaurant. Richard Kash also helped out with ownership and after Jeff and Sheri retired, he stepped in to take over ownership. Dan Agostinis who started at Johnnyís as a waiter in 2007 worked his way through the ranks and became the restaurant’s General Manager in 2016 and has also become an owner with Richard Kash. Today, the restaurant is doing better than ever.Located right beneath Johnnyís Harborside is the H&H Harbor Shop, a fresh fish company that sources all its fish locally and responsibly. Johnnyís has the benefit of picking fresh fish from H&H daily, providing their customers with the freshest, tastiest, and locally sourced seafood in town. Danís father-in-law is Dick Swank from Swank Farms in Hollister, California where they have hundreds of acres of traditional farming and organic produce and vegetables. Johnnyís also sources from these farms continuing to support their local farmers and community. The menu at Johnnyís Harborside is full of variety including appetizers, salads, signature entrees, fresh catches, and sandwiches. One of the most popular dishes is the Crab Encrusted Roasted Salmon served with redskin mashed potatoes, Parisian vegetables chardonnay goat cheese creme, and lemon dill vinaigrette. If youíre not a seafood fan, donít worry! Johnnyís Harborside offers other options like their delicious Harborside Ω Pound Burger. The restaurant uses certified Braveheart Black Angus Beef to make each burger that is then topped with applewood bacon, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and choice of cheese on an onion roll.
