James Prince opened The Louisiana Bistro in 2013. His road to restaurant ownership included several stops along the way. In the 1970ís James worked on cruise ships. He tells us heís worked on big ships and small ships but found the best ship is friendship. After moving to California, James worked in the limousine business and finally as a hotel bartender for twenty six years. Upon retirement, James partnered with a New Orleans native, inventing the concept that has become Louisiana Bistro. Popular menu items are the Gumbo and the Jambalaya with hotlink, chicken, and shrimp featuring special house seasoning. The Crawfish Etouffee, is crawfish meat smothered in red and green bell peppers with onions, celery, and garlic and seasoned with a special, secret blend of spices. Desserts include a Cafe Du Monde inspired Beignet. A sweet french doughnut topped with powdered sugar and served with a side of chocolate and caramel sauce.Louisiana Bistro feature a full bar and offers some Crescent City inspired specialty drinks. Including the Hurricane and the Jambalaya Shot, featuring, Amaretto, bourbon and Grenadine. The restaurant seats about 125 people and has a nice outdoor patio area. There is a separate room able to accommodate private parties of up to fifty people. The private room has a sophisticated A/V setup for presentations.
