Mando’s Casual Mexican and American Cuisine, Pacific Grove CA | Merchant Profile

Owner Armando Cruz worked as an employee in this location for quite some time, and when the former owner shut the restaurant down, Armando seized the opportunity to reopen, rebrand, and reemploy his former colleagues. He has been in the industry for most of his life, from dishwasher to owner, and his current success is a direct result of his personal involvement in the day to day operations. Stopping in promises a delicious meal with a warm and welcoming environment that rivals a home cooked meal. The dishes are made fresh, in house, Armando and his team take great pride in being able to provide something for everyone, and do so flawlessly. The generous portions paired with the homey  decor is what brings the locals back several times a week. Mando’s tacos are a fan favorite. The tortillas are made in house and come with signature choices, like Chicken, Carnitas, Veggie, Asada, and Shrimp. The Burritos are also very popular, having various options to indulge in. The Chile Rellanos are reason enough to stop in, crafted with two fresh Poblano Chiles, stuffed with Jack Cheese and topped with their Homemade Salsa. The breakfast (served all day) is where the menu really shines, offering healthy portions that are filling and flavorful. The Benedicts (served weekends only) are an excellent choice, as well as their Omelettes served in a three egg portion. Of the Omelettes, the selections include Cheese, Spanish, Denver, Avocado, Chorizo, Veggie, Shrimp, Ham & Cheese, and the flexibility  to create your own masterpiece. Armando and his staff provide the best American and Mexican home style cooking, in a cozy and welcoming ambiance, with friendly attentive service just steps from the beach and downtown Pacific Grove.
