Mangia is a one-of-a-kind restaurant in Nashville, Tennessee that serves authentic Italian cuisine while providing great entertainment and atmosphere. Nick Pellegrino is the owner who actually spent most of his life working in the music industry. He taught a friend how to play guitar in exchange to learn how to cook and thatís where his passion for food began. Not only did he want to open a restaurant in Nashville, but he wanted to give the city a completely unique dining area. Mangia is a traditional Italian Focacceria that serves focaccia, paninis, sandwiches, and other Italian fare, the first of its kind in Tennessee. The restaurant uses the freshest and finest ingredients in order to create their delicious cuisine. Everything is created from scratch in-house daily to provide customers with the best tastes and flavors. During the week the restaurant serves a fast-casual lunch and table service dinner. On Fridays and Saturdays they provide a unique family-style dining experience. There is one seating per night that starts at 7:00 PM and goes for about three hours. There is a prefixed menu and price and each table is served five courses, twelve dishes in total, which are served family-style for the whole table to share. The menu changes seasonally along with which ingredients are fresh and in abundance. During your meal you can enjoy great music and get up and sing and dance. Mangia is very customer-driven where guests are encouraged to participate and let loose. Itís a hybrid of two restaurants, the first being traditional service and the second being the prefix dining experience. Mangia definitely offers a unique experience unmatched by any other restaurant in the area. In addition to great music and dancing, Mangia also has a beautiful outdoor patio with a bocce ball court and giant-sized jenga game. The restaurant also features a full bar stocked with a great variety of drinks and spirits. They have an extensive wine list most, of which are Italian and sold by the bottle. All their draft and bottled beers are local or regional and they have a signature cocktail list as well. On Fridays and Saturdays Mangia even has a martini cart that makes its way around the dining room offering tableside, shaken martinis. Mangia can accommodate private events and parties during the week as well. They offer full catering services for both on and off-site events big or small. In the end, Mangia provides the best party in Nashville every Friday and Saturday night. The atmosphere is energetic and fun and completely unexpected in Nashville.
