The cuisine at Mangiamoís features authentic old school Italian cooking not often seen anymore. All dishes are cooked to order in the open kitchen. Only the finest and freshest ingredients are used, including San Marzano tomatoes and top of the line flour. The Veal Stock is made from scratch in a time consuming process. The Mozzarella Cheese is house made and featured on the thin crust pizzas like the Meat Lover made with fresh sausage pepperoni, prosciutto, and basil tomato gravy.House made soups include Minestrone and Chicken Alla Nonna featuring Joeyís Grandma’s homemade chicken soup recipe. Other starters include a House Salad or Shrimp Scampi with fresh sautÈed shrimp on a bed of spring mix with lemon butter scampi sauce and Fried Calamari served with marinara gravy.A favorite entree is the Chicken Parmesan. The cutlets are triple breaded in house made breadcrumbs with fresh mozzarella and homemade gnocchi. Other favorites include the Veal Piccata: fresh veal seared lightly and topped with a capers lemon piccata sauce served with risotto. Also, the Shrimp Broccoli Alfredo made with fresh shrimp, diced tomatoes, and broccoli florets in a light alfredo sauce. Finally, the Rigatoni Vodka with pancetta, shallots, and a light vodka rose sauce. Chef Joeyís attention to detail is apparent, he personally inspects every dish leaving the kitchen to make sure it is perfectly prepared. Each of the 75 meatballs produced in the kitchen daily are precisely two ounces because at that size they cook properly to produce the best flavor.
