The restaurant was named after candy that is made from sugar cane, which is a major crop in South America. One of the most popular dishes off the menu is the Churrasco, which is a 14 oz grilled New York strip steak served with potatoes, yucca, and sweet plantains in a chimichurri sauce. The Bandeja Paisa is another fan favorite, but requires a big appetite to finish! The dish is served on Melaoís traditional mountain platter and has grilled top sirloin, pork belly, white rice, pinto beans, white cheese corn cake, fried eggs, Colombian sausage, sweet plantains, and avocado. Itís full of fresh ingredients and a variety of flavors that taste great when combined together. They also make delicious empanadas that customers absolutely love. They come in three different styles: chicken, beef, and vegetable and are served with hot salsa. They are served as an appetizer, but guests can also order them individually.
