Octane InterLounge was one of the first internet cafes in the country and was the first in Rockford to offer computers with internet access available to the masses. Established in 1997, this was Dan and Michelle Minicís way of giving back to the community that had given so much to them. Octane InterLounge is popular for their juicy burgers. Their beef is locally sourced and has their very own special blend. The ëGinger Pig Taco Trioí comes highly recommended; ginger-garlic pulled pork slow braised for hours in-house topped with housemade pickled red cabbage, chimichurri sauce, butterkase, and saffron aioli. General Manager Patrick explained that he crafted it as a feature one day and it got so popular they decided to put it permanently on the menu. The ëHawaii 5-0 Burritoí is a customer favorite; housemade pulled pork, grilled pineapple, chili mayo, sweet chili sauce, jasmine rice, pepper jack and mozzarella cheese served with chips and mango salsa. When Patrick took over a few years ago, he decided to make the pork in-house, offering a way healthier alternative. The ëHawaii 5-0 Burritoí has been a best-seller at Octane Interlounge for several years. Octane InterLounge offers constantly changing specials and always tries to push the boundaries. They offer dishes you will not find anywhere else in Rockford. Octane InterLoungeís signature drink is the ëEspresso Martinií, made from a house blend espresso they designed themselves. It is a must-try!
