Brothers Sammy and Isaac are the current owners of Oggi Trattoria. Their father was previously part of the large Como Inn restaurant family, and Sammy explained that everyone branched out when the restaurant closed down. The restaurant business was all their dad knew, and he wanted to teach his kids the ropes. Isaac and Sammy were basically raised in the kitchen – Sammy ran his first full kitchen when he was just 18 years old. The process is so deeply engraved in him, ìItís like I can almost do it with my eyes closed,î Sammy stated. After the Como Inn, the entire family, one by one, basically took over Oggi Trattoria. They turned Oggi Trattoria into a family operation around 2002, and the whole family continues to work there today. Oggi Trattoria offers on and off-site catering and can accommodate 70 guests in their private event area downstairs. It creates the perfect, completely private, comfortable atmosphere for any party. At Oggi Trattoria, they offer an Italian menu with a Mexican twist. You get the best of both worlds! The ëChicken Velascoí dish is highly popular – Chicken Vesuvio with jalapeno and lime juice. It also comes in a delicious salmon version. ìThis place is built on the pasta,î Sammy explained. Made fresh in house every day, each dish offers an explosion of flavor, with a tiny kick to give it some pizzaz. The bread is absolutely delicious and also all made in-house – even the pizza dough!
