Oya, Brentwood TN | Merchant Profile

Paul Kim explains the motivation behind the name his familyís restaurant OYA is a world play on the phrase Oh Yeah. And oh yeah is what you will be saying upon visiting this unique combination of two restaurants in one. One part of OYA is the hibachi grills providing an entertaining and mesmerizing experience. Master chefs prepare your order in front of you, letting you sit back and enjoy the time between ordering and eating. Nowhere else can you watch the chef cook your food, allowing you to ensure both the freshness of the ingredients and expert cooking technique. The only thing better than watching your order be prepared on the hibachi is tasting it.The other part of OYA is a cozy neighborhood sushi bar, Whether youíd rather let the taste of the fish be the focal point with sashimi or enjoy the intermingling of different delicious ingredients in a roll, thereís sure to be something that satisfies. Not only will your roll or sashimi be succulent and mouth-watering, but the plating will be vibrant and colorful. Our sushi bar truly is a treat for both the eyes and the taste buds. Paul tells us many of the Special Rolls available were created by his father over the last fifteen years in their sister restaurant.OYA has a full bar featuring an amazing selection of specialty cocktails including this awesome rockstar of a drink. The Mount Fuji, featuring a cornucopia of ingredients including; Premium Rum,  Sweet and Sour mix, Tropical Juices and Maple Syrup served on the rocks with a Volcano center. OYA boasts a varied selection of wines by the bottle and glass. A nice selection of Japanese and domestic beers and multiple saki selections.More information on OYAís list of daily and weekly food and drink specials is available on their website. www.oyajapanese.squarespace.com
