The owner of Peteís Deli, Tom Oxenreider, decided not to change the name of the deli when he acquired it as it has been so well known in the area for so many years. One day, Tomís wife Sandra discovered the deli was for sale. They both jumped at the chance to own it; Tom retired from golf, he was a golf pro for 25 years, and Sandra left her management job at the country club. Tom and Sandra both poured their heart and soul into Peteís Deli. Tom is constantly told by customers Peteís Deli has the best cheesesteaks in town. Everything is made fresh each day by Sandra herself. The salads and special Hot Roast Pork are also very popular. Tom explained that each day Peteís Deli is very busy for lunch, but is absolutely worth the wait. ìWe put a lot of love into what we do,î Tom said. The Little John is a popular choice; grilled chicken, provolone cheese, and broccoli rabe on a kaiser roll.
