Paul and his business partner Joe have both been working in Daytona beach for over 25 years. Paul owned his own high-class restaurant with a cigar bar, and also worked as the marketing director for five radio stations in town for 15 years. Joe has spent the majority of his time in the area as a food and beverage manager at several resorts. They both had plenty of management and restaurant experience, and they were tired of working for others and decided to go into business for themselves. On August 7th, 2015, they opened PJís Grill & Chill. PJís Grill & Chill is a beach stand that keeps it simple and serves warm food and cold beer at a very reasonable price point. Their pizzas are popular; the New York style thin crust pizza comes in two sizes, 12 and 18 inch. Grab a bucket of beer – $10 for 5 beers! You will not find a better deal anywhere on the beach! PJís Grill & Chill hot dogs and chicken tenders are very popular among the youngsters, and the huge fried beer battered fish sandwich is immensely popular! Paul and Joe are the cooks; they have one waitress and a dishwasher. Paul explained that ìPJís Grill & Chill is basically a mom and pop business.î They keep the restaurant clean and create a friendly and comfortable atmosphere with reggae and sublime music.
