Redlefsenís Rotisserie and Grill is located at 444 Thames Street in Bristol. The restaurant opened in 1989 and in 1994 it was bought by Walter Gaulter to keep himself busy in retirement. Ten years ago he sold it to his son Jeff. Redlefsenís features the best Wiener Schnitzel in Rhode Island. Authentic porcelain beer towers are filled with the best German and Belgian beers. Redlefsenís is styled after small town European style restaurants. German food is featured in the restaurant, but it also has some other European and locally inspired dishes.Menu items include, A La Holstien Or Jager Schnitzel, featuring lightly breaded veal, traditionally garnished with lemon, capers, and anchovies or a la holstein with fried eggs. Another popular favorite is the Chicken Provence, a boneless chicken sauteed with mouse olives, arugula, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes and chevre cheese over eggplant ravioli, white wine and butter. Another German favorite is the Grilled Wurst Platter, with Bauernwurst and bratwurst with sauerkraut and bavarian mustards. This dish is known as "the best of the wurst".The restaurant features a full bar and has some great European beers on tap with a bunch more in bottles. They have a great selection of wines by the glass too. There is a children’s menu and take-out is available. Redlefsenís has a banquet room with a capacity to seat up to 60 diners.
