Ed and Danny have both been in the restaurant and food industry for many years. Danny began his career when he was 21 years old in Greece as a cook. After ten years in Greece, he got married and came to the United States, where he worked for his uncles that owned restaurants. After a few years, Danny met Ed, and they both decided to open a restaurant together. Ed started in the industry as a dishwasher when he was just 14 years old. Over the years at several different places, Ed learned all the ins and outs of the restaurant business, including how to cook. The first restaurant Ed and Danny opened together, they sold after a few years because they didn’t like the location. Danny and Ed went their separate ways for a while, looking for the next thing. Danny ended up working at Rochester Diner & Grill, and after two years he made the owner an offer to sell. The owner refused, and Danny left. A few months later, Danny heard that Rochester Diner & Grill was up for sale, he called Ed and they both decided to buy it and start again. Danny and Ed have owned Rochester Diner & Grill since 2010, and all their staff has been there with them since the beginning. ìWe do better and better every day,î Danny stated. Ed explained they put a lot of effort into their specials, so they have something new to offer customers each time they come in. Rochester Diner & Grill is a family diner with a little upscale nod. The Chicken Lemon Rice soup is a customer favorite, made fresh daily from scratch. In fact, all of Rochester Diner & Grillís soups change daily! The Tuna Salad Plate is very popular, as well as the Beef Tips on special. Rochester Diner & Grill has a seasonal and permanent menu, so they can offer dishes that best fit the weather. ìFruit and salads are always wanted the summer, and the Pot Roast is a great special in the winter,î Ed explained. Rochester Diner & Grill has something on the menu for everyone in your party. Ed and Danny hope to see you soon!
