The owner, Sunhee, her sister, and husband opened Sake Tumi in the heart of downtown Milwaukee in 2005, located on the historic Milwaukee St off of Wisconsin Ave. A year and a half before her sister came from Korea in 2003, the family needed to find a way for their kids to stay in American schools, while also finding work. Sunheeís husband designed and built Sake Tumi, incorporating many cultural pieces within the restaurant. Both Sunhee and her husband knew the makings of a good restaurant and rose to the challenge. They are dedicated to providing great food and service. Sake Tumi has made its mark in the city of Milwaukee as one of the best sushi restaurants in the area. The menu features sushi, Japanese, and Korean cuisine. The menu is extensive and filled with fabulous options to satisfy a wide variety of guests with different tastes. The quality of fish used for sushi at Sake Tumi is incomparable.
