Tony Rojas took over Salsa Picante 2 in 2012. Tony has worked in restaurants as a waiter for fourteen years, and always had a dream of opening his own. As soon as the opportunity presented itself, Tony jumped on it. Salsa Picante 2 is a family business that offers traditional Mexican fare made completely from scratch. From the salsas to the carnitas, ìIt takes time, but tastes much better,î Tony said with pride. The enchiladas are very popular, with their homemade green sauce. The ëMexican Alambreí is a customer favorite, a skillet made with bell peppers, mushrooms and onions. Salsa Picante 2 is a nice, clean, humble place, with amazing food and great service. There are many Mexican restaurants in the area, and Salsa Picante 2 found the special recipe to keep their restaurant relevant. One of the things about owning a restaurant that Tony enjoys most is the relationship he builds with his customers. ìAll our customers, I know by name. I am always willing to serve them and do the things they like,î Tony explained. Tony makes his customers feel like family, and they always come back and ask for him by name. Tony wanted to offer two snippets of advice. First, you cannot give up on your dreams. If you want something, you have to fight for it. Second, treat food with respect. ìIf you are eating something and I donít like it, I’m not going to say ìewî because I donít like it, because you are eating it and you like it!î He exclaimed. Tony, and everyone at Salsa Picante 2, will always respect your preferences.
