Jim Angelopoulas has been breaking eggs and peeling potatoes since he was five years old working in his parentsí restaurant. He owns Scramblíz A.M. in San Jose. Scramblíz is a fun throwback to the fifties style diner. They even have a old VW bus converted into a booth. Jim tells us they serve 1200 customers on a weekend. They use 20000 eggs per week and over 100 cases of oranges for fresh squeezed juice. The menu features breakfast burritos and bowls filled with a variety of choices of bacon, sausage and tofu. And then topped with eggs, salsa and cheese. The combinations are endless. Everyday there are three to five Chefís specials including the The Sexy Waffle, a half waffle topped with peanut butter, strawberries, whipped cream & chocolate and the Farmerís Omelet, a fluffy omelet with tomatoes, onions, zucchini, spinach, and cheddar cheese. Also the house made crepes topped with frozen yogurt and a strawberry sauce.Scramblíz is open for breakfast and lunch from 7AM to 2PM every day. Everything on the menu is house made from scratch using only the best of ingredients. They can provide catering for 20 to 200 people. Jim has a staff of 55 working in the restaurant. He believes in empowering his people and having fun. Stop by for a great breakfast soon.
