Sloppy Jane’s Cafe and Deli, Lancaster PA | Merchant Profile

Brian and Jane Bronbacher own Sloppy Janeís Cafe and Deli in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The restaurant opened in 1998. Brian decided he wanted to get out of the corporate world, and he and a friend came up with the idea for the business. Brian and Jane both have experience in the hospitality industry, so they had a talent for running a successful restaurant. Their menu features American comfort foods and unique sandwiches. Brian has spent a lot of time in New Orleans, and brought delicious Cajun spice recipes back with him. At Sloppy Janeís, almost everything is made from scratch. What sets them above the competition is the care that goes into choosing and preparing their ingredients. They will never buy something just because itís cheap and they donít cut corners. Their signature sandwich is the Sloppy Jane. It is a cross between a Philly cheesesteak and a BBQ pork sandwich. It is made with pork that is smoked in house and cheddar cheese, smothered in barbecue sauce, and served on a hoagie bun. The Philly Cheesesteak is another best seller. Brian makes a special homemade steak sauce just for the cheesesteaks. He has also crafted many Cajun creations like the Warm Cajun Pork, with roasted pork roast, homemade Cajun seasoning, toasted kaiser bun, and homemade creole mayo. If youíre feeling adventurous, try the Alligator Sandwich; it is one of the only ones you can get in the area.Brianís favorite part of his job is getting to the kitchen in the morning alone and prepping his recipes. Although he is shy, he has also grown to love talking to and getting to know the customers. Sloppy Janeís is open Monday through Saturday. Check it out for a delicious sandwich and great service!
