Snowdonia opened in 2012 and is known as the only Welsh pub in New York City. Snowdonia takes classic Welsh cuisine and adds elegance to bring it to a gastropub level, a little more high end than a standard Welsh pub. The Rarebit is very popular; a traditional Welsh three cheese blend melted and served on a toasted baguette with a variety of house toppings. Many of the items on the menu feature Rarebit. Snowdonia offers brunch seven days a week, and one of the most popular brunch items is the Rarebit Benedict. Snowdonia is also famous for their Fish & Chips; many customers rave that it is the best theyíve ever had!Snowdonia is named after the largest mountain range in Wales. The ownerís family was brought up in that area, and the cross country ski decor at Snowdonia reflects that. A tribute to Snowdonia and a little snippet of what it is like at home for the owners. The core menu of Snowdonia is Welsh cuisine, but they have branched out with their burgers by adding some continental American flair. Snowdonia offers a delicious speciality burger; the British Burger is served on an English muffin with caramelized onions, bacon, Swiss cheese and horseradish sauce. Yum! The traditional St. David’s Burger is another favorite; a patty with gravy served on a brioche bun with corned beef, portabella mushrooms, and Welsh cheddar. All year long, Snowdonia offers a Prix Fixe menu that reflects the season and always pairs perfectly with their line of draft beers. Snowdonia also pairs events and movies with their line and specials. Snowdonia not only likes to compliment their food with their beverages but also their entertainment.
