How did the restaurant get its name?
The owner and his daughter came up with the name together. The name represents the islands in the Caribbean, and the name is Spanish Island because they didn’t want to single out one place in the Caribbean and since most of the islands were originally colonized by Spain they used that for the name and made it Spanish Island Restaurant.

What is your favorite menu item?
The mofongo
