Pete Karas and his daughter Halley launched their third restaurant, Suburban Bourbon, in October of 2013. The first establishment Pete and Halley owned was a large music venue with a restaurant and bar. After that, they moved to a different city and ran a pizza restaurant and bar. When the lease for the pizza place was expiring a new building became available. Pete and Halley decided to live out their shared dream and create an upscale dining environment. Suburban Bourbon offers speciality drinks and top-notch, modern, homemade food. Suburban Bourbon strives to create an urban environment in the suburbs. Suburban Bourbon classifies their menu as American fare. Their ëCaprese Bruschettaí is very popular, drizzled with a crisp homemade balsamic reduction sauce. Customers go crazy for the ëCrab Cakesí, topped with avocado and mango salsa. The ëSpinach Artichoke Dipí is also exceptionally delicious, served with pita bread and fresh seasonal vegetables. For your main dish, order the tangy ëGrilled Tuna Sandwichí that features a delicious cilantro lime sauce. Pete and Halley made a commitment to be an environmentally friendly restaurant. They try to minimise their waste and add what waste they do have to their organic compost. The to-go containers and disposable cups are all biodegradable. Suburban Bourbon is working to reduce energy costs, looking into solar energy options in the future. Pete explains they try to purchase as much local, organic ingredients as possible and stay away from meats with antibiotics. The banquet hall at Suburban Bourbon easily seats 250 people. They have hosted everything from club meetings to weddings.
