Taliaís Mediterranean Grille is conveniently located at 122 West Girard Avenue in Philadelphia. The  grill is named after owner Adelís daughter. Adel previously worked as a chef in New York. He has cooked for notable people including Arnold Palmer, Jamie Lee Curtis and Marilyn Quayle. Richard Nixon used to love Adelís preparation of Alla Vodka Sauce so much, he often dined where Adel was chef multiple times per week. Popular breakfast items include eggs on their fresh bagels and your choice of cheese and meats. Also, bagels with your choice of spreads including cream cheese, butter and jelly, walnut raisin spread and of course lox and cream cheese. The blueberry, chocolate chip and bran muffins are all made onsite daily. Onion, poppy seed, egg, and wheat bagels are available by the dozen. There are ten varieties of cream cheese including vegetable, blueberry and  jalapeno are available by the pound. More than one dozen lunch salads are also available by the pound, selections include;  Lentil Salad with orzo, tomato, scallions, belgium endive balsamic vinegar. Couscous Salad (tomato, red onions chickpeas).  An Orzo Salad (with greek olives, feta cheese, tomato, cucumber, olive oil, lemon). The Tabouli Salad ( featuring tomato, fresh mint, olive oil, lemon). And the Edamame Salad (red beans, carrots, scallion,oil, vinegar).   Paninis include the following choices; The Positano Panini (turkey ham, mozzarella,roasted pepper, arugula) The V Panini (turkey ham, shredded asiago, red onion, kalamata olives, arugula, oil, vinegar). The Autumn Panini (turkey, Russian dressing, leaf lettuce, Granny Smith apple). And the Roast Beef Panini (sharp provolone, horseradish sauce, red onion, arugula).Dinner entrees are served with rice or roasted potatoes. Options include; Charcoal Grilled Ribeye Steak Over Arugula Salad, Gorgonzola Cheese with Balsamic Vinaigrette. Also, Fresh Herb Salmon with Fresh Herbs. The Blackened Tilapia and the Zesty Orange Glaze Charcoal Jumbo Shrimp. Adel explains his hot and sweet version of Thai Wings are baked and never fried because frying ruins the meat. Other favorites are his Gyros and the Falafel.  He urges us to leave room for one of his homemade desserts like the Tiramisu, Rice Pudding and Baklava.
