The Boarding, an authentic French tapas restaurant on Las Olas was established in November of 2015 by Anthony Gonzales and Michael Perrissol. Anthony and Michael met when they were very young. They owned several businesses in France together and wanted to start a new adventure and open a restaurant in the states. The Boarding is famous for their tapas and beautiful cheese boards, which are often photographed by customers and posted on social media. The Boarding makes their own foie gras, a traditional pate dish from France. The Truffle Brie de Meaux is a popular speciality; sliced triple cream brie stuffed with mascarpone cheese, French black truffles, caramelized and brandied apples, and topped with white truffle oil and honey. It is served with dried fruits, nuts and toasted walnut raisin bread – yum!The Boarding offers an upscale yet casual atmosphere. Many guests come and stay for several hours, enjoying their wine and tapas. Sixty percent of the wine list is French and The Boarding serves draft beers from Hollywood Brewery. They also create craft champagne cocktails and serve gourmet coffee and espresso drinks. The restaurant goes the extra step in hosting live music Friday’s and Saturday’s for customers to enjoy. The Boarding has indoor and outdoor dining available, as well as wine tasting and pairing events. The Boarding is more than willing to customize the event for the group and work within your budget. With their seasonal menu, The Boarding is a great place to visit any time of year!
