The Breezeway Restaurant & Bar was established in 2013. The owners Rick Moreland and Steven Richards are long time Sanford residents who felt the need to open a restaurant that catered to a younger crowd. They decided to bring something new to Stanford – a place that served delicious fresh dishes always made completely from scratch.All of Breezeway Restaurant & Barís fish is delivered fresh, never frozen, and is filleted in the restaurant. The ëBlue Crab Crusted Mahií is a customer favorite special; mahi-mahi topped with crab cake and smothered in their housemade sauce. Breezeway is one of the only places in the area that offers grouper, so the ëGrouper Sandwichí and ëThe Plane Fishí are both very popular. ëThe Plane Fishí is served with two sides and the fish is prepared however you like it. Breezeway Restaurant & Bar offers a diverse wine list that has been tested by various guests to ensure the best wines are available. All the wines pair well with their dishes; whether it is the house wine from California or a speciality wine picked from Africa. Breezeway Restaurant & Bar has bars inside and outside that feature all-day drink specials. Also, the movie My Girl was filmed at the restaurant – how cool is that?!
