Michael Cassano and Craig Mosmen opened The Couch Tomato Cafe in 2003. In 2011 they expanded and opened a Couch Tomato Bistro. The two didnít always work in the restaurant industry. After a while they decided they didnít want to work in the corporate world anymore, so they took a risk and opened a restaurant. Their mission was to focus on not just the food, but the experience as a whole. They do this through a well trained staff, a clean environment, and a focus on high quality and fresh ingredients. The owners of The Couch Tomato pride themselves on having a scratch kitchen. Everything, including their delicious sauces, is made in house. They also use the highest quality and organic ingredients. While they are widely known in the area for having great pizzas, salads are a best seller. Michael recommends the Food Pyramid, made with all-natural chicken, strawberry, cucumber, candied pecan, shredded mozzarella, and balsamic dressing. Another great salad is La Fiesta, made with all-natural chicken, mango salsa, grape tomato, tortilla chip, pepper jack, and chipotle dressing. Pizzas and sandwiches are also popular. Try one of theirs, or build your own, with your choice of meat, veggies, and cheeses. Michael says his favorite parts of his job are having a flexible schedule so he can spend time with his kids, and training his employees and watching them grow as people. He likes having a smaller business, so he and Craig can be a part of everything and make sure it is done in the best way possible. The Couch Tomato is open daily from 11 AM to 10 PM. They offer offsite catering. Stop by for fresh and delicious cuisine and great service!
