The Music Man Cafe is located at 1565 Plainfield Pike in Johnston. The chef and owner of the restaurant is Al Saccoccia. Al was originally in the construction business, but switched over to restaurants 16 years ago due to health reasons. The eatery is named for Alís father Eddie Saccoccia. Eddie began playing the accordion at age 3. He won a competition at the New York Worldís Fair at age 12, and had his own 12 piece orchestra at age 17. He played with such notables as Sinatra and Dean Martin. Eddie then went on to teach music to thousands of students in his own studio. To honor the musical legacy of his father, the restaurant features karaoke on Thursday nights and live music on Friday and Saturday nights. All items served at Music Man Cafe are cooked to order and homemade from scratch. Quality is important to Al. The restaurant uses only the finest and freshest meat and produce.
