A wide variety of beer and gourmet food dishes stand out among the general public at the Pour House Bar in Madison Heights.The Pour House Gastro Bar and Restaurant opened two years ago in Oct. 2013. Restaurant employee Amber Doyle started working at the bar a few months after it opened and said that service hadnít stopped being high since then.Pour House is organized in two halves as both a restaurant and bar. According to Doyle, Thursdays are the busiest day of the week with the appetizers and craft beer bombers are half off all day.The Pour House offer a variety of other specials during the weekdays with Mondays having all you can eat wings, Tuesday offers a $5 pizza, Wednesday offers $7 sandwiches all day, Friday offers $8 fish and chips and half off martinis, Saturday has a buy one get one free with top shelf liquor and Sunday is 15 percent all tabs over $25.Some of the signature dishes on the menu at the Pour House including sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, barbeque ribs and pasta. Of everything on the menu, Doyle recommended their trademark burgers and hand breaded full-sized wings. There are other various special appetizers including fried artichokes and truffle fries.The bar specializes in its drink menu with 40 craft on draft handles, over 150 selections in whisky, scotch and bourbon. There are also select wine, spirit and signature drinks.Doyle said that the Pour House is known for doing various activities such as the Lions games, with the owner betting to pay for everyoneís tab if the team won. The restaurant wants the restaurant to be more interactive.Ever since she started months after the Pour House opened, Doyle started the mug club in which is a service that offers special deals for customers can purchase 16-ounce mugs for $100.Customers range with service being high in the evening time after work, with more groups and couples over single individuals. Doyleís main goal for the restaurant is to bring in more business during the day, since they already do well enough during the dinner hours.ìI feel we can do a lot better with the lunch crowd, trying to get more people in. On the weekends and nights, we are doing good with that, we have a good dinner crowd.î
