The Tiny Turtle was established in 2013 by Moises Correa and Kelly Lienke. They work together in perfect harmony; Kelly runs the front of the house while Moises is busy creating and preparing dishes. Moises credits his love for cooking to his grandmother, she was the first one to get him into the kitchen. They had a shared dream to open a little place together, and after she passed Moises decided to still carry out that dream. The Tiny Turtle started out small, but they are growing every year. Moises explained that it is their goal to eventually to spread a couple of Tiny Turtles all over Florida. Customers cannot get enough of their unique Caribbean Fusion flavors. Moises is from Puerto Rico, so he uses Puerto Rican flavors as a base and infuses many flavors together from Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, and Cuba. You will even find some Tex-Mex and Italian flavors! The ëSofrita Bowlí is a customer favorite bursting with flavor; black bean rice cooked together with spices and topped with your choice of meat (island chicken, roasted pork or beef picadillo), fresh guacamole, sour cream, and their own secret ëCreamy Caribbeaní sauce. Served with slaw and grilled plantains, it makes for a delicious meal! Everything at The Tiny Turtle is made fresh in-house every day using local ingredients. ìWe give you five-star flavor without the price,î Moises was happy to say. The Tiny Turtle offers a casual and relaxed atmosphere and a great place to enjoy fresh Caribbean flavors.
