The Wicked Kitchen opened in September of 2015 and has been serving delicious, homemade food ever since. Cissy Beauvais is the owner and operator of the Wicked Kitchen and set out to create a restaurant that showcased a modern take on Pennsylvania Dutch cuisine. The eatery got its name from the slang term that is used frequently in Massachusetts, where Cissyís husband is from, for amazing and great, which is ìwickedî. The restaurantís core is centered on using bacon in most its dishes and the food is very reminiscent of what youíd find your grandmother making. Everything at the Wicked Kitchen is made from scratch using the freshest and finest ingredients. All their breads and desserts are baked fresh daily on-premise. You wonít find any frozen items here because everything is prepared and cooked fresh to order every time! As a result, the restaurant is terrific at accommodating and modifying dishes to fit customersí dietary and allergy restrictions; theyíre even a tree nut free establishment in order to avoid all nut allergies. The kitchen is open too so guests can peer in and see their fresh meals being made right before their eyes. One of the most popular dishes off the menu is the Piggywich that is made with their homemade apple bourbon sauce theyíve dubbed the Wicked BBQ, pulled pork, and homemade bread. The Bacon Turkey Panini is a close second made with bacon, turkey, lettuce, tomato, provolone, and mayo. Make sure you save room for their delicious, homemade Sticky Buns as well that come with the option of adding their candied bacon. The atmosphere of the restaurant is eclectic with an emphasis on individuality and sense that everyone is welcome. The Wicked Kitchen has an alternative vibe, but itís a place where people from all kinds of backgrounds can come together and enjoy their time. If youíre interested in hosting a party or event at the restaurant, they can accommodate parties up to fifty people and offering catering for both on and off-site events. The Wicked Kitchen has just recently started offering Sunday brunch and Sunday premade, take-home dinners too, so be on the lookout for that! The next time youíre craving a homemade and tasty meal, make sure to visit the Wicked Kitchen ñ you wonít be disappointed!
