Thomís Bread is located at 113 Butler Avenue in Lancaster. Thomís bread got its start at the Lancaster Central Farmerís Market in 2012. As the business gained a loyal following, owner Thomas Capizzi decided to expand. He opened his own bakery and retail location found on Butler Avenue in 2015. The bread is also available at over 30 locations in Lancaster, Hershey, and York. Thomas tells us he was originally in the apparel business as a product designer for well known fashion brands. His job required him to travel a great deal. With a growing family at home, Thomas decided to switch careers so he could spend more time with his wife and young children. He wanted to have his own low tech business so he could be around family, hence, Thomís Bread was born. In a world where things have become convoluted and complex, Thomas tells us his recipes are uniquely simple, just flour, water, salt, and yeast. Thomís Breadís products are all natural, GMO free, and have no preservatives. Popular breads include: Rustic Italian, Rosemary Olive Oil, Foccacia, Honey Whole Wheat, and a Chocolate Bread that Thomas recommends being used to create a sinful French Toast. Additional items include: granola, pizza crusts, and waffles. Thomís Bread also offers a selection of soups, salads, and sandwiches. Popular sandwiches include the Ham and Swiss and the Turkey Club. Soups include Ham and Bean and Italian Wedding Soup. The Bakery also features delicious, fresh made to order brick oven pizzas. If you are in Lancaster and looking for honest, no frills, great food check out Thomís Bread today. This family run business believes in offering its customers the best. Thomas and the whole warm and attentive staff at the bakery will welcome you and ensure you have a great dining experience!
