Best known for only serving USDA prime-aged steaks, Tomís Steak House makes their steaks by preparing and cutting it on a charcoal broiler. From there, the steaks are then served to customers on a stainless steel brazier. No other restaurant has this unique serving feature.Tomís Steak House has a wide variety of steak entrees on the menu including bone-in ribeye steak, sirloin butt steak, queen filet mignon, butt steak, New York cut sirloin strip steak and prime t-bone steak. There are even seafood, chicken, pork and lamb chop entree options. The appetizer section of the menu includes over 10 options of entrees including Oysters Rockefellers, baked clams, saganaki, shrimp de jonghe and steamed clams. Tomís SteakhouseTomís Steakhouse is run by its owner Gus. He said that the restaurant has gone down from one generation to the next, since its opening in 1952. His father-in-law Alex buying the restaurant in 1971. The restaurant also has a banquet facility that accommodates over 150 people. The business is able to operate special events such as baptisms, funeral and wedding receptions. Customer service has varied among people. Gus said he noticed that there are generations of people coming in throughout the decades, with the older customers bringing in new customers. Tomís Steakhouse was featured in Chicagoís Best in May 2014, in honor of its signature dish the quarter t-bone steak. This honor helped bring in new customers and raise awareness of the steakhouse.
