Originally from Norway, restaurateur Christian, owner of Valhalla Pub, opened its doors to the public back in 2011. The name of the pub and some of the cuisine are inspired by his Scandinavian background. Valhalla Pub is a local favorite for lunch and happy hour, but also serves dinner. Expect a warm welcome upon arriving at Valhalla! When feasting at the pub, it is recommended to try the ëNorwegian Meatball Plate,í a recipe from Christianís mother. This is entree features meatball covered with a brown gravy sauce, served with steamed broccoli, your choice of a side, and toast.Like any pub, you can expect to find salads, sandwiches, and wraps on the menu – just know that Valhalla Pubís food is a notch above the rest! In the mood for a hamburger? Try the decadent ëNorwegian Burger,í which features a fried egg on top of a beef and pork patty. The fish and chips are a very popular lunch and dinner menu item as well. Looking forward to watching your home teamís game? Enjoy a seat at the bar, a beer, and an appetizer to watch your favorite team play. Thereís no better way or place to watch a game in Charlotte than at Valhalla Pub! Everything is made from scratch here and there are 12 beers on draft – all local craft beers except for Guinness. Even the juices made for signature cocktails are made from fresh squeezed fruit. There is parking available on the street and a parking garage close to the pub. Come on in and enjoy yourself at Valhalla Pub!
